Network & Security

Dependable connections. Thoughtful protection.

A dependable network helps people work and systems communicate. We help assess your current environment, improve connectivity, and plan practical security measures around your business needs.

Service perspective

Start with the environment, not a product list

Network reliability and security are connected disciplines. A useful review considers how people connect, how systems communicate, where access is granted, and how the environment is maintained. Recommendations should fit your architecture, risk priorities, and operating practices.

The examples below describe areas that may be relevant. Specific activities, service hours, locations, tools, deliverables, and responsibilities are confirmed as part of an agreed scope.

Areas of capability

Network & Security in practice

The work may span several related activities. Priorities are established with you based on current needs, dependencies, and what is appropriate for the engagement.

01

Enterprise network design & operations

Design, configure, and maintain business LAN and WAN environments, including routing, switching, network segmentation, and operational documentation.

02

Wireless network planning

Plan, configure, and maintain business Wi-Fi around coverage, capacity, user groups, and the applications in use.

03

Firewall, VPN & remote access

Configure and maintain firewall policies, VPN connectivity, secure remote access, and network access controls within an agreed scope.

04

Endpoint, identity & access security

Configure endpoint protection, account permissions, identity controls, and multi-factor authentication to support a layered security approach.

05

Endpoint detection & response

Deploy and manage EDR/XDR capabilities, investigate endpoint alerts, and support device isolation or containment when authorised and within the agreed scope.

06

Identity governance & single sign-on

Configure Microsoft Entra ID or similar identity services for single sign-on, conditional access, privileged account controls, and periodic access reviews.

07

Microsoft 365 email security

Configure anti-phishing and spam protections, email authentication with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC, and related security policies for Microsoft 365 environments.

08

Security risk & governance

Assess security risks, develop practical internal policies and standards, and review gaps against a framework selected by your organization. This support does not constitute certification or a formal independent audit.

09

Security monitoring & alert review

Security monitoring and alert review can be scoped for selected systems. Coverage periods, alert ownership, escalation roles, and response expectations are agreed before work begins.

010

SIEM & security analytics

Onboard and manage in-scope log sources, configure detection rules, and correlate security alerts to support investigation and monitoring.

011

Vulnerability assessment & penetration testing

Conduct vulnerability scanning and penetration testing. Work may be performed by AMNET LLC personnel or specialist security partners, depending on the engagement.

012

Security incident response

Provide incident response support according to the agreed scope and incident circumstances; monitoring coverage does not imply a guaranteed response time.

Security delivery model

Define coverage, roles, and authorization

Penetration testing may be delivered by AMNET LLC personnel or specialist security partners. Before security monitoring, SIEM, EDR/XDR, or incident response begins, agree which systems and tools are covered, who reviews alerts, who can authorize containment, and how escalation works.

Any testing is performed only with the customer's authorization and within the agreed scope. Monitoring coverage, alert handling, incident response, and resolution arrangements are scoped separately.

AMNET-led engagement

AMNET is your point of contact for understanding requirements, defining the scope, coordinating remote work, and clarifying responsibilities and handover.

Specialist partner-supported

Some specialist work may involve an external provider. Penetration testing may be delivered by AMNET LLC personnel or a specialist security partner; participation and responsibilities are agreed before work begins.

Operating scope agreed in advance

For security monitoring, SIEM, EDR/XDR, and incident response, the covered systems, tools, alert handling, authorizations, escalation roles, and any service levels are defined for the engagement.

Business technology environment

Define the scope

Agree priorities, responsibilities, and next steps

A useful engagement makes the boundaries visible. Depending on the work, planning may address the following areas before activities are agreed.

  • Network design, configuration, and maintenance for agreed LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, firewall, and VPN scope
  • Endpoint, identity, access, and multi-factor authentication configuration
  • EDR/XDR deployment and management, endpoint alert investigation, and authorised containment support
  • Single sign-on, conditional access, privileged account controls, and periodic access reviews
  • Microsoft 365 email protection, authentication, and security policy configuration
  • Security risk findings, internal policy guidance, and framework gap-review recommendations
  • Security monitoring and alert review for agreed systems, coverage periods, and responsibilities
  • SIEM log-source onboarding, detection rules, and security alert correlation for agreed systems
  • Vulnerability scanning and penetration testing performed by AMNET LLC or specialist partners as applicable

These are planning considerations, not a promise that every item is included in every engagement.

Talk through your requirements

How the work is shaped

A considered sequence for technology change

01 / ASSESS

Establish current state

Clarify the objective, systems involved, dependencies, stakeholders, and operational constraints.

02 / PLAN

Agree scope and sequence

Identify activities, assumptions, access, responsibilities, validation, and change considerations.

03 / REVIEW

Document and consider next steps

Where appropriate, record relevant outcomes and identify maintenance or follow-up for discussion.
